Acommon definition of a smart grid is a digitally enabled electrical supply system that simply collates and distributes value added energy data. This data is activated by information from the functions of all participants including generation suppliers, network operators and energy demand consumers. The aim is to improve the efficiency, resilience, economics and sustainability of future electricity services and products serving these stakeholders.
